Firm Overview

Founded in 2020, 5th Century Partners (“5CP”) is a fast-growing, lower middle-market private equity firm investing out of its first fund of $144M. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and next generation firm at the ground level. 5CP has gained an incredible amount of traction including (i) raising an institutional fund with sophisticated, well-capitalized, blue chip investors, (ii) building a dynamic, diverse, and talented team, and (iii) sourcing a robust deal pipeline. The Associate will be an integral part of the team and will have the unique opportunity to contribute in a variety of areas across the firm.

Areas of focus include (i) the healthcare, business services, and consumer industries, (ii) control or significant minority transactions, typically partnering directly with founders and the first institutional capital, and (iii) transactions where diversity can be leveraged as a strategic advantage from an ownership, governance, or end customer perspective.

Since its founding, 5CP has made two investments, one in the healthcare vertical and one in the consumer vertical. Typical investment size ranges from $5-$50M; the amount can significantly increase due to co-invest interest from current investor base. The Investment Professionals have significant influence over the direction of the portfolio companies.

Prior to starting 5CP, the Investment Professionals have experience at firms such as Clarion Capital, The Vistria Group, Sun Capital Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Advent International, Tengram Capital Partners, Chicago Pacific Founders, among others.
