Carl is a Senior Associate at 5th Century Partners (“5CP”). He is responsible for the due diligence and evaluation of potential investment opportunities, in addition to performing industry research and financial analysis in support of the firm’s portfolio companies.

Prior to joining 5CP, Carl was an associate at Prairie Capital, a lower-middle market private equity firm headquartered in Chicago. During his tenure, he helped execute and evaluate several platform and add-on investments across the consumer, industrial, healthcare, and education space.

Prior to Prairie, Carl was a Senior Investment Analyst at Prudential Private Capital (fka Prudential Capital Group) in the San Francisco office. As an Analyst, his responsibilities included evaluating private debt, mezzanine, and preferred equity investment opportunities, conducting due diligence across a wide array of industries, and portfolio management. Carl started his career at Artisan Partners Asset Management in Milwaukee, WI as part of Artisan’s Rotational Program working across multiple business areas.

Carl received a B.S. in Economics-Finance from Bentley University

Carl is originally from Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, and grew up in Boston, MA. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring Chicago’s restaurant and art scene and discovering new music.
